Dynamic manufacturing company located just South of Minneapolis, MN is experiencing exceptional growth.
Under the direction of the VP of Operations, this position is responsible for the development and execution of the company's service strategy for material handling automation equipment that is designed, fabricated and installed in customer locations, with direct oversight and responsibility of service technicians and subcontractors.
This position requires multi-tasking and an individual who is results-oriented and enjoys working assertively with a sense of urgency to get things done on time, as well as capable of creative problem solving and diplomacy to overcome challenges.
Partner with the VP of Ops to set strategic service direction for company
Coordinate the installation and service activities for material handling automation equipment designed, fabricated and installed in customer locations by the company
Develop, document and refine Service Model to deliver best in class customer service
Collaborate closely with sales, design engineers and project engineering staff to ensure project success
Responsible for the quoting of installation and service projects related to the equipment and systems installed at customer locations.
Participate in the phasing of systems sold by working closely with project managers and manufacturing staff to meet the customer needs, visiting customers' locations in servicing and installing material handling equipment.
Coordinate the use of subcontractors involved in the installation of products designed by the company.
Schedule service activities for service technicians and subcontractors
Drive maturity of tools, resources and process that support service team
Negotiate agreements and payment terms with subcontractors used in the installation of products designed and sold by the company.
Collaborate with aftermarket team and purchasing staff to resolve vendor warranty issues customers bring to the attention of the company.
Interview, hire and train employees involved in the installation / start-up of company products.
Plan and develop policies and procedures for on-site installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Meet with customers to establish workable installation schedules within the various constraints of the customer's production and space requirements.
Education / Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing / Applications Engineering or other related discipline and four to seven years of progressively responsible related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiar with mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and control systems of equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, machine diagrams, parts books, wiring schematics, etc.
Preferably familiar with AutoCad Inventor, Vault Collaboration or similar engineering design software
Strong PC skills and experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and project management.
Strong communication and presentation skills; influences to deliver clear and concise presentations.
