Sam McCord | Director of Recruiting Services
Mr. McCord leveraged his years of experience in business operations of executive search with McCord Consulting Group, Inc., which he founded in 1992. MCG expanded their services in 2002 by providing site location, business development, strategic planning, and project coordination for new plastics manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. He holds an associate degree in applied science in Civil Engineering from Hawkeye Community College. He has represented companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500.
Sam has many years of experience in soil and materials engineering, business operations of an executive search firm, business development and strategic planning, site selection for new manufacturing facilities, project coordination and sales and marketing in the plastics industry. McCord started his first company, Midwest Technology Transfer with Partner Dr. Ronald Clark (deceased) and changed the name to McCord Consulting Group, Inc. in mid 1992. He was also a Partner and COO of The Vercitas Group, LLC which provides site location and economic development. Mr. McCord has represented companies ranging from start-up to Fortune 500.
Senior Member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, past Vice President of the Executive Committee and has held numerous positions of SPE since 1984. He served as a board member of AMRCC (Advanced Mfg. Research and Collaboration Cluster), Member of the Iowa Biotechnology Association and is Chair of the Biobased Products Committee since 2005, Chair of the SPE Bioplastics SIG since 2012 and a member of the Global Plastics Environmental Division.

Sam will be bringing his expertise in recruiting of 30 years in plastics manufacturing and venturing into horticulture as the developer and owner of MCG-Biocomposites, LLC.
